[ ] Retain untouched product export, supplier records and image originals.
[ ] Make a working copy; record intended product and variant counts.
[ ] Decide whether this is new products or updates. The mug exercise is new only.
[ ] Use actual exported headers and retain required dependent columns.
[ ] Reopen UTF-8 output; inspect accents and leading-zero identifiers.
    Recover garbled spelling from a trusted source, not an encoding guess.
